Co-founder of Oklahoma Music Academy Dustin Rhodes, one of Tulsa's most prominent drummers, has worked as a professional drummer and guitar Instructor for 20 years. He is well known in the Tulsa music scene for his work with such local bands and artists as Rkaine, Screaming Jimi, Jakob, Old Harry, Jungle Blue and Jenny Labow. He has divided his time as a teacher, touring artist, and studio session drummer on the local, regional and national level. Dustin has recorded and performed a stunning mixture of musical styles.

He employs a modern approach to teaching that gives students the skills and confidence necessary to play live, as well as the ability to perform solos on the drum set and snare drum. Technique, ear training, groove and sight-reading are heavily emphasized in his curriculum.
